Baked Tiger Prawn with Cheese

My boo went fishing the other day, and he bought me this single big tiger prawn from the seaside fisherman. Thats right, ONLY a SINGLE prawn. I don’t know what to do with it.

So after the prawn sitting inside the fridge for 2 days, I decided to bake it like the one I used to order from my fav seafood restaurant.

Baked Tiger Prawn with Cheese

1 Tiger Prawn
2 slice unsalted butter
2/3 cup milk
1 stalk spinach
1 clove garlic finely chopped
2 slices mozzarella cheese
1 pinch of salt
1 pinch of sugar (optional)

1. Boil the spinach in hot water, drain the water dry and chop the spinach. Set aside.

2. Clean the tiger prawn and cut it into halves.

3. Heat up a skillet and add in the butter. Saute the garlic until aromatic, then add in the spinach and milk and bring to boil. Add salt and a pinch of sugar. Dish out.

4. Preheat the oven to 375 degree. Spread the mixture onto the body of the prawn and its head evenly. Break the cheese into small pieces and top the prawn with them. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese turns golden brown. Serve hot with lemon wedges.

  1. a prawn (swimming in the ocean) – or a tiger’s prawn? we do not have any tigers in Germany (except the ZOOs) – and our cat refused to give one of her 4 prawns for the pan …
oh sorry I confused paw and prawn – that’s my English …
